At Key Stage 4 students have the option to select GCSE PE or BTEC Sport in addition all students have 2 hours of physical activity in ‘Leisure’. In leisure we encourage students to make informed choices by offering a range of activities including – football, table-tennis, fitness, climbing and badminton. The intention is that all students find an activity that they will continue to participate in after leaving the school. We encourage students to take roles as leaders, coaches and officials.

In sport Education we encourage students to take ownership of their learning and develop leadership opportunities within the lesson with students trying out key roles such as coach, leader, referee and even being in charge of equipment. The intention is that all students find an activity that they will continue to participate in after leaving the school.
