Our school ski trip to Pinzolo was another unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of the academic year. Forty students from Years 7 to 12 took part in five incredible days of skiing in the Italian Dolomites, making this the largest ski trip Norlington has ever run.
From the moment we arrived, the excitement was clear to see. Many students were stepping onto snow for the very first time, while others returned with growing confidence and experience. Over the course of the week the progress made by all students was remarkable. Beginners quickly developed their balance and control, while more experienced skiers pushed themselves on more challenging slopes, supported throughout by excellent instructors.
The trip was about far more than learning to ski. Students demonstrated independence, resilience and teamwork, supporting one another both on and off the slopes. Evenings were filled with shared meals, activities and plenty of laughter, helping to build strong friendships across year groups.

The ski trip continues to be immensely popular year after year and this would not be possible without the ongoing support of the school. The trip run during term time, which significantly reduces costs and ensures that the opportunity is more affordable and accessible to a wider range of our students. This commitment reflects the school’s belief in the value of enriching experiences beyond the classroom and its determination to ensure that as many students as possible are able to take part.
We are already looking forward to next year’s trip and hope to build on the success of this year by making it even bigger and better, continuing to offer our students an unforgettable experience that develops confidence, independence and lifelong memories.
