Norlington U15-B vs George Mitchell School
After winning the toss, Norlington elected to bat first. However, the innings got off to a shaky start as they suffered an early collapse, losing key wickets in the opening overs. With the team under pressure, Isa Dustagheer and Tarik Beekawoo stepped in to stabilise the innings with a crucial partnership.
Isa led the recovery superbly, playing with confidence and composure to reach 50 runs before retiring, anchoring the Norlington innings. Alongside him, Tarik played a vital supporting role, showing patience at the crease while consistently rotating the strike and building momentum through smart running between the wickets.
As the innings progressed, Norlington accelerated in the closing stages thanks to some excellent late hitting. Dilawar Awan (28 runs) and Daniyal Butt (20 runs) added valuable runs, striking boundaries and picking up quick singles to boost the total and give their side a competitive score.
In response, George Mitchell School faced a disciplined Norlington bowling attack. The bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths throughout, supported by sharp fielding that kept the pressure firmly on the opposition.
The standout moment of the innings came from Azaan Hasan, who delivered a sensational spell, including a double-wicket maiden—removing two batters without conceding a run and completely swinging the momentum in Norlington’s favour.
Thanks to their collective effort in the field and with the ball, Norlington successfully restricted George Mitchell to 122/8, sealing a convincing victory.
