Norlington School and Sixth Form

Norlington U15 vs Langdon School U15

Norlington U15 produced a strong all-round performance to secure a well-earned victory against Langdon School in a competitive encounter.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Norlington made a steady start in the field. Despite Langdon building some partnerships through the middle overs, the bowling unit remained disciplined and kept the scoring under control. Hasnain Aziz was particularly effective, claiming a key wicket, while Yahya Faish Khan produced an impressive spell, picking up two crucial wickets to halt Langdon’s momentum. Supported by consistent efforts across the attack, Norlington restricted Langdon to 109 for 5 from their 20 overs.
Langdon’s innings featured contributions from several batters, but regular breakthroughs from Norlington prevented them from fully capitalising. Tight spells and pressure in the latter stages ensured the total remained within reach.
In reply, Norlington approached the chase positively. After an early setback with wickets falling in the opening overs, the innings was stabilised by a composed and controlled knock from Mohammed Murad. He anchored the chase superbly with an unbeaten 33, guiding the team through a crucial phase.
Azaan Azim provided early momentum with an aggressive 16 from just 10 balls, while Azaan added a valuable contribution to keep the scoreboard ticking. Despite a brief wobble in the middle overs, Norlington maintained composure, with Haadi Khan finishing the game strongly alongside Murad to see the team home.
Norlington reached 110 for 4 in just 14.4 overs, completing the chase comfortably and sealing a five-wicket victory.
Overall, it was a disciplined and confident performance with both bat and ball. The team showed good control in the field and composure in the chase, demonstrating their ability to manage key moments effectively.
Key Performances:
Mohammed Murad: 33* (41 balls)
Yahya Faish Khan: 2 wickets

A well-deserved result that reflects a strong team performance, with plenty of positives to build on moving forward.
