Semi-Final: Norlington vs Eastbourne School
Norlington began their campaign against Eastbourne School in a best-of-three semi-final format, and from the outset, they looked in complete control. Having won the toss, Norlington stuck to their tried-and-tested strategy of bowling first, which proved highly effective once again.
In Game 1, Norlington’s bowlers demonstrated excellent discipline in both line and length, restricting Eastbourne to just 33 runs. The chase was handled professionally, with Govind and Ayaan taking responsibility with the bat. Both players showed great composure, rotating the strike effectively and keeping the scoreboard ticking over, leading Norlington to a comfortable win without losing a wicket.
Game 2 followed a very similar pattern. Norlington once again bowled first and limited Eastbourne to 34 runs, maintaining tight control throughout the innings. With the bat, Govind and Ayaan once again led from the front, chasing the target down confidently and, once again, without losing a wicket, sealing a 2–0 victory and progression to the final.
With qualification already secured, the third game became an opportunity to give the lower order valuable batting practice, effectively serving as preparation for the final later that day.
Final: Norlington vs Ilford County High School
Norlington faced a strong Ilford County High School side in the final, who had themselves progressed after a competitive semi-final against Chigwell School.
