After a slow start to the game, Norlington began to find their rhythm and built up a lead through some excellent fast breaks. Daniel Liverpool and Ayman Uthman both scored important lay ups, pushing the tempo and catching Heathcote on the break.

Heathcote mounted a comeback and closed the gap, but Norlington responded well. The big men dominated the boards, with strong rebounding and disciplined defensive work helping Norlington regain control and slowly extend their lead again.
