Norlington School for Boys achieves Outstanding grades with its best ever GCSE results.

Norlington School for Boys continues its rapid improvement with another set of outstanding GCSE results. The school guided a best ever 64% of its students

to achieve 5A* - C including English and Mathematics. This is a 15% increase

over the 2011 results which were recognised as in the top 10% of schools

nationally.  A truly exceptional 94% of students achieved 5A* - C GCSEs grades!

Everybody at Norlington is dedicated to achieving excellence in every aspect of

the school and this is an amazing set of results built on staff commitment and expertise along with each individual student’s hard work.’

Norlington is the only boys’ school in Waltham Forest. It has a Mathematics and Computing specialism.

This is even more remarkable as it occurred at a time when the government is making it even harder for students to get good

grades in their GCSE’s.

Mr John Hernandez, the Headteacher of Norlington for the last 2

Years, stated;‘Higher school performance means more opportunities for our students. It means they can go on to the best colleges and universities. We make it our aim to realise the potential of every student, we are very proud of our boys’ success.

Almost half of students achieved at least 1 A*/A grade at GCSE with

over a third achieving 2 or more! We have students completing

A-Level equivalent courses and getting A Grades!  The last few years have seen an extraordinary turn around at the school – we are not a typical East London boys’ school.
